SWIDA Ghana has been making efforts to prevent and respond to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) affecting the vulnerable, including Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) at every stage.
The organization has been engaging directly with PWDs to enable the understanding of their unique experiences, barriers to reporting abuse, and challenges in accessing justice and support services.
The voices of these vulnerable groups are essential in designing inclusive, accessible, and effective interventions.
SWIDA Ghana believes that listening, learning and planning together create safer communities and stronger protection systems that leave no one behind. Inclusion is not just about participation, it is about ensuring that PWDs are empowered to influence decisions that affect their lives and well being.
