As part of SWIDA Ghana’s commitment towards promoting the values of UNESCO, the organization is looking to establish UNESCO ASPnet/ Clubs in six schools.
Starting off, we visited Yapalsi M.A. School to officially initiate a UNESCO ASPnet. The visit provided an opportunity to meet the vibrant club member and to introduce them to the vision and values of UNESCO.
We also discussed how club members can become ambassadors of peace, sustainability, cultural diversity, and responsible citizenship within their school and community.
It was a very interactive introductory session with students sharing ideas and aspirations for the Club.
Also, together we co-created a roadmap of exciting activities to be implemented in the next academic term, including initiatives on peace education, environmental sustainability, waste management, digital literacy, cultural heritage, gender equality, and student leadership.
This is only the beginning of a journey that will empower young people to learn, lead, and take action for a better future.
