Savannah Women Integrated Development Agency (SWIDA Ghana) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kumbungu District Assembly to strengthen collaboration in building the capacity of SIGRA-supported women-led CBOs and advancing gender-transformative programming that benefits both women and men.
The official partnership, witnessed by the District Coordinating Director and the SIGRA team from Tamale and Accra, marks an important step in consolidating the work already implemented in Kumbungu.
The MoU provides a stronger framework to deepen women’s leadership, strengthen community participation, promote climate resilience, improve accountability, and advance inclusive local development.
More importantly, it creates opportunities for SWIDA GHANA and the Assembly to build on existing achievements, respond to emerging needs, strengthen local capacities, mobilise resources, and scale practical solutions that promote equality and sustainable development.
Together, we are strengthening partnerships that ensure women, men, youth and vulnerable groups are not only beneficiaries of development, but active contributors to shaping the future of their communities.
